For the three scaffolders deployed to Saudi Arabia, this confidence was built during a comprehensive, one-month skill enhancement program at the highly reputed WorldNet Training Center. This program, led by seasoned industry professionals, was meticulously aligned with international construction safety and performance standards.
Here’s a closer look at what this intensive training entailed:
- Mastering Scaffolding Procedures: Trainees gained hands-on experience in the critical procedures of scaffolding erection and dismantling. This module went beyond basics, teaching them the nuances of different systems, including cup lock, tube & fitting, and mobile scaffolds, ensuring they are versatile and adaptable to various project needs.
- The Science of Safety: Load Calculation & Material Estimation: A scaffolder does more than just assemble pipes. They are responsible for the structural integrity of platforms that support dozens of workers. Our training included detailed modules on load calculation and material estimation, teaching candidates how to ensure every structure is safe and built to specification.
- An Unwavering Focus on Safety Measures and Fall Protection: In construction, safety is not a suggestion; it’s a necessity. This was the most critical component of the training. Candidates were extensively trained on international safety measures and the correct use of fall protection equipment, including harnesses, lanyards, and anchor points, dramatically reducing the risk of worksite accidents.
- Proficiency with Tools and Equipment: Efficiency comes from proficiency. The training ensured every candidate was comfortable and skilled in the use of all necessary tools and equipment, from wrenches and hammers to spirit levels and measuring tapes, ensuring they can work effectively and accurately.
- Reading the Roadmap: Basic Blueprint Interpretation: To be a truly valuable team member on a major infrastructure project, a scaffolder must understand the larger plan. We included training on basic blueprint reading, enabling our candidates to interpret designs, understand their role within the project, and work with greater autonomy and precision.

Our curriculum also emphasized the importance of clear worksite communication and effective teamwork. This intensive preparation has equipped these three professionals with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and unwavering confidence needed to excel on major infrastructure projects abroad. They are now in Saudi Arabia, contributing their expertise to the assembly, inspection, and maintenance of critical scaffolding structures, directly impacting worker safety and overall construction efficiency.
Thriving in Hospitality: Our Kitchen Stewards in Bahrain
The global hospitality industry is known for its fast pace and incredibly high standards. The five candidates we deployed to Bahrain have stepped directly into this dynamic world, taking on roles as Kitchen Stewards/Helpers. They have joined vibrant food service teams where their responsibilities are fundamental to the success of busy restaurant environments.
Their duties include supporting all aspects of kitchen operations, from assisting chefs with prep work to ensuring the impeccable cleanliness and organization of the kitchen space. Most importantly, they are responsible for maintaining the stringent hygiene standards that are non-negotiable in the international food service industry.
